A short look into the history of the internet let’s start with DARPA 1958 President Dwight Eisenhower’s ideas to for research and expanding projects to the frontier as you can imagine this idea probably sounded like a wild project but this idea actually worked 3 year’s later 1961;packet Switching was developed (MIT (1961)
As today this does come standard but back in them days is was the best thing imagined witdout Packets switching communication was solely based on ideas with a circuit connection from two communication station’s but thankfully Packet Switching had come to be making it more simple to communicate packets could be sent independent of one another.
We could say that this idea probably started the whole concept of a community would be be crazy to make a statement like that or would you agree after all if this concept had failed we possibly still be using communication towers in a way we still do but not dependent on them.
The worse things about this is that it gave people to communicate hate speech. But with the bad comes the good.
1971 came the E-mail in thus era was amazing concept to be able to communicate with people across the country and would receive the letter rite away this was a big step forward.
Jump a few years later to 1991 we are now in the area of the World Wide Internet as you can imagine this idea was out of this world to be able to view and interact with the world from your home.
1978-TCP/IP
Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) in this we see this suite computer networking and communications protocols were used for the internet and other networks.
A lot of technology as faded out due to advances in technology some examples Telegraph was slowly fading away due to the advances of the radio but although we use radio still in 2019 the main communication is a phone and this would be linked to the world wide internet so in Truth the Internet is the mainstream Technology that runs everything we have today. What is going to take over from the Internet ir is there anything else that can.
We’re do we go from here as a world that is so reliable on the internet what happens if we lose it i think this could be a problem try going witdout the internet or technologies we have today and you’ll fell like you are back in the stone age that we are so dependent upon the Web us a worrying matter as technology is implemented in everything now. From communication to movie’s to pictures to medical devices we need it even writing this piece i am using technology we rarely use pen and paper anymore.
This is only a short pice of the origins of the internet amongst other things that have being studying there is so much more to read about and it is very interesting. alot of great minds have wrote about this.
